Backyard Slope & Hardscape Transformation
These Oakwood homeowners wanted an outdoor living space that was both beautiful and functional, so we started with a custom landscape design tailored to the natural slope and soil conditions of the property. Our design balanced structural improvements with aesthetic elements, ensuring the new layout provided usable outdoor space and long-term stability.
We reshaped the yard through grading, added a durable retaining wall for slope support, and built a stylish paver patio to serve as the main gathering area. Stone step treads were incorporated to create smooth movement between elevations, while a comprehensive drainage system was installed to direct water away from the home and protect all new hardscapes.
To finish the transformation, we added a selection of climate-appropriate plants and trees that soften the stone features and bring natural color and texture into the space. Together, these upgrades turned a challenging backyard into a welcoming, practical outdoor living area built to thrive in North Georgia’s environment.
